Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Designs and implements embedded software architecture for radar/equipment monitoring and control.

·       Evaluates embedded software/firmware/hardware (FPGAs, etc.) and design.
·       Codes, debugs, and tests system software. 
·       Performs embedded software and multi-platform software implementation.
·       Provides technical support for data communication/acquisition/control systems and experiments.
·       Provides consulting to system-level designs, including costing, lead times, and alternative solutions. 
·       Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the functions of the position.


Minimum Requirements:

Education:

Required:  Bachelor's degree.

Equivalency/Substitution:  Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 84 months of related experience.

Experience:

Required:  36 months of embedded software experience.

Certifications or Licenses:

·       Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
·       Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff
·       Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives
·       Willingness to work as an integral part of a high-energy team of engineers and scientists
·       Strong desire to learn new technical skills
