Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Some weeks may require additional hours for special events (eg. mission field trips, Youth led services), but the overall workload is expected to balance out or be in favor of the coordinator.

NorthHaven Church is an inclusive community of Christ followers who inspire, challenge, and equip each other to participate in God's great story.  The Interim Youth Ministry Coordinator plays a vital role in helping our youth members find their place in that story.  The part-time position provides leadership and coordination for the youth ministry, ensuring a welcoming, nurturing, and safe environment where all youth can grow in their understanding of God's love and participate meaningfully in the life of the church.

The Youth Minister serves as a vital part of the ministry team, with the primary responsibility of providing leadership and direction to your people from grades six through high school.

Minimum Qualifications:
•Minimum age: 18 •High school diploma or GED required. •Must pass a background check and complete Child Protection Policy training. •A committed follower of Jesus who practices inclusivity, affirms equality, and supports the values of a progressive Christian community •Have a passion for helping young people grow in spiritual maturity •Is familiar with and agrees with the basic beliefs of NorthHaven Church. •Has developed skills to establish and maintain good communication with NorthHaven youth and their parents. •Posses strong leadership characteristics and seeks guidance from other ministerial staff in decision-making
Preferred Qualifications:
•Prefer experience with tweens and teens •Experience with Macintosh computer products •Good communicator •Lead and coordinate the Sunday school class and its education, including teaching on a weekly basis •Lead and coordinates the Wednesday evening youth gathering
Physical Requirements:
•Able to participate with energetic and active youth in all acitivities
