SCHEDULE Begin week of January 20, 2025 - May 2, 2025. 15-20 hours per week over 3-5 days. Must be able to work 12+ hours Race Weekend (April 25-27). Pay is $10 per hour. Interns can set their hours between the following days/times: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm Friday 8am-Noon

Job Duties:

RESPONSIBILITIES
Over 25,000 participants are expected for the 25th OKC Memorial Marathon. Over 3,000 volunteers are needed to make this event successful. Below are some basic responsibilities of the position.

Recruit volunteers, maintain volunteer database and handle volunteer communications
Assist with inventory and procurement
Assist with Marathon newsletters
Answer Marathon questions and update website with FAQs
Help solve Race Weekend issues and conflicts
Attend Marathon planning meetings (February 12, March 12, April 9 & 23)
Other duties as needed

*Must be available to work Marathon Race Weekend April 25-27* The weekend of the event requires a lot of moving materials and equipment and is very physical and demanding. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Workdays are 12+ hours on your feet Race Weekend. 

Minimum Qualifications:
The weekend of the event requires a lot of moving materials and equipment and is very physical and demanding. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Workdays are 12+ hours on your feet Race Weekend. Need to be proactive, have good customer service and organizational skills, and enjoy working with others.
Preferred Qualifications:
Would prefer someone who has experience planning or working sporting events.

Additional Comments:
The Run to Remember brings together runners and spectators from around the world to honor those who were killed, those who survived and those changed forever in the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing and to celebrate life. All proceeds from the Marathon benefit the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. The Memorial and Museum does not receive any annual operating funds from the federal, state or local government. The OKC Memorial Marathon is a very powerful and memorable event to be a part of every year.
