Job Duties:

The primary purpose of the Director of Children’s Ministries is to supervise Sunday morning

programming for nursery through elementary-age children for Sunday mornings, evening

programming, and special events. Coordinates and implements curriculum, recruits and trains

volunteers and paid team members; communicates with parents/caregivers and helps integrate

our comprehensive children's Progressive Christian education program into the whole of the

St. Stephen's community.

Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Postsecondary education preferred, Experience working with children, Good administrative and creative abilities. Ability to delegate and see tasks through to completion. Computer literate with the ability to set goals and develop a plan for accomplishing them. Ability and willingness to relate, communicate and work effectively with church staff and volunteers through both written and oral means. Ability to communicate effectively with children through both written and oral means. Excellent organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit on the floor, stand, hold children up to 40 pounds. Ability to see and move independently. .
