Job Duties:
Park Lane Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Kennel Assistant to join our team! You will be assisting in the overall care and well-being of the animals at our facility.
Responsibilities:
Handle general care tasks such as feeding and grooming of the animals
Assist in restraining animals for veterinarian and technicians
Keep records of animal feedings, treatments, and other updates
Engage in play activities and exercise with the animals
Maintain a clean and healthy environment
Assist/cross-train in other areas of clinic as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
Previous experience in animal care or other related fields preferred.
Passion to help and treat animals.
Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Weekend and holiday hours required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with dog & cat breeds and coat colors.
Experience with animals preferred but willing to train the right applicant. Attention to detail a must for this position. Weekend and holiday hours required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 40lbs.
